WNUSP releases statement on the Implications of the CRPD on Forced Treatment

The WNUSP board today publishes its position paper on the Implications of the CRPD on forced/unconsensual/involuntary treatment and interventions.

Individuals and organisations are able to register their support and endorsement of this statement by submitting their details in the form at the end of the statement.

WNUSP members attend the 4th Conference of States Parties (COSP)

COSPWNUSP chair, Moosa Salie, and International representative on the board, Tina Minkowitz, attended the 4th COSP, and associated meetings at the UN headquarters in New York, between 6-9 September 2011.

On the 6th IDA hosted two events: in the morning it hosted a meeting of international DPO's and NGO's and after lunch the second meeting of its annual Civil Society Forum. Tina Minkowitz is shown here doing a brief intervention on behalf of the WNUSP at the DPO/NGO meeting.
